In December 2023, I added a goal to my list: “Go on a wellness retreat.”

Next week, it’s finally happening. I’m taking a full week off and disconnecting to focus on ME.

I have to admit — adding this to my goals list was the ONLY thing that made me see it through. Without a goal list to reflect on, I probably would have deprioritized it again and again and eventually let it drop from my awareness completely.

This is just a small example of why structure is so important.

Over the past few years, I’ve started an annual reflection ritual. I identify what I’d like to take with me from last year and what I want next year to look like. It helps me narrow down priorities for my business and my life in general.

Today, I’m sharing that reflection prompt with you so you can do the same. I promise it’ll help you integrate your 2024 lessons and plan for a beautiful 2025.

My 2025 Reflection & Goal Planning Template

As small business owners, our well-being is the foundation for our professional success. For our businesses to thrive, we need a solid spread of supportive relationships, hobbies, pleasure, and ease buoying us. And the end of the year is a great time to check in on what’s working and what’s not working — to get honest about our needs, desires, and challenges.

My annual reflection prompt is designed to help you do that. When I shared it last year, a number of you expressed interest in making it a year-end ritual too. So I’m sharing it again with the hopes it’ll help you ground in what matters as we round out 2024. I highly recommend you to take some time this season to sit down, complete the exercise, and think deeply about what you want your 2025 to look like.
