Rest anyway + 3 places to find hot jobs
And an event invite! ;)
Things are busy right now.
Four active Harlow sponsors in play. Our first virtual conference coming up: Harlow Homebase. Five speakers to manage and coordinate. Two big consulting clients in motion. ~15 coaching clients on my roster. Leading a team that’s working together to support all of these initiatives.
And I'm still taking a full week off, as you’re reading this.
Not because things slowed down. They didn't.
Because the busy seasons, the growth phases, the moments when everything feels like it's exploding at once, and there’s extra chaos to navigate: that's when rest matters most.
Small business owners are taught to push through. To give more when things get hard. To earn the break later.
But later never comes.
And you can't build something sustainable on empty.
So this is your reminder: There will always be a reason to skip the vacation, cancel the plans, stay online later.
Don't let the chaos talk you out of the things that actually fuel you.
The work will be there when you get back. Rest anyway.
Inverse Wealth + Harlow
"Business thriving, Personally Stuck: Closing the Wealth Gap for Thriving Solopreneurs," came together around a pattern I keep seeing in our community: solopreneurs whose businesses are thriving but whose personal wealth isn't keeping up.
If you've ever thought "I'm doing well, so why do I still feel this scarcity mindset?", this is for you.
I'm sitting down with Sumeet Ganju of InverseWealth, a wealth advisor who works exclusively with independent operators.
We'll cover:
The three most expensive blind spots in solopreneur finances
How high-earning solopreneurs can run their financial life without making it a second job
Why fixing your financial setup usually matters more than picking better investments
Going down on Friday, May 1 · 10am PT / 1pm ET.
Hot Jobs
This week we’re highlighting three places you can find work (besides the Harlow Job Board, of course, which is always dropping new hot gigs, click, click ^).
CommsConsultants.com - Marketing and communications freelancers: apply to join Ashley Dennison's vetted pros list. I know MANY pals who’ve brought on clients from being a part of this community.
Ashley R. Cummings' Content Connect job board is full of great roles for content marketers, strategists, and creators. About half are freelance, while others are full-time remote gigs. Don’t sleep on this one.
Taylor Crane at Fractional Jobs delivers top-notch roles for fractional execs looking for work. It's a regular read for me. I highly recommend subscribing.
Harlow helps you build a business that truly supports you. No matter where you’re at in your journey, we have tools and resources to help you reach the next level. As a business owner, your wellbeing matters just as much as your work. We’ll help you strike a balance between growth and sustainability.
Here’s how to get started:
Join our growth accelerator for true partnership. We offer one-on-one personalized support to help you build a business that lights you up and fills your bank account.
