Cultivating work-life alignment

Hot jobs + my strategy for designing a biz that works for me.

Thriving, not just surviving.

How I run my business(es) while traveling:

I just wrapped up two beautiful weeks traveling through California and Mexico. ☀️

And this is just the start of a month full of back-to-back travel and adventures.

But here's the thing — being completely detached from my businesses for extended periods of time? Not an option.

Staying put and not enjoying life? Also not an option.

Instead, I've found ways to make it all work. 👇

My Travel Work Strategy:

  • Focused early morning work sessions (2-3 hours/day)

  • Ruthless prioritization

  • Using travel days for deep work (planes are my best productivity zones!)

  • Fully enjoying the rest of each day (notifications OFF)

  • Batching content creation before trips

  • Repurposing existing content during travel periods

  • Delegating, delegating, delegating

  • Batch meetings between trips (on my days at home)

  • Async communication during trips (Voxer, Loom, Slack, etc.)

The results from the past couple weeks?

  • 500+ new newsletter subscribers

  • 4 newsletter sponsors locked in

  • Our biggest integrated sponsorship ever

  • 4 growth accelerator clients supported

  • 1 grown accelerator client converted into a retainer

  • 3 speaking engagements locked in

  • 2 consulting projects significantly progressed

  • Built my new consulting website

  • 2 potential new clients pitched

  • + more

I did all this while also staying present, feeling relaxed, and bringing in amazing income. 💰

Work-life alignment is about designing a business that supports the life you TRULY want to live.

P.S.

Did you know:

  • 67% of self-employed professionals overpay on taxes.

  • The average freelancer misses 8-12 legitimate deductions.

  • Most freelancers spend more time choosing what to watch on Netflix than learning tax strategies that could fund their next vacation.

Okay, so I created the last one, but it's likely true. ;)

Our Freelancer Tax Workshop cuts through the confusion in just 20 minutes. No accounting degree required — just straightforward advice on exactly what you can write off and how to document it properly.

Don't panic-file and overpay.
